AED Cabinet Installation in Township Parks

In coordination with the Mansfield Township Ambulance Corps and Mansfield Township Office of Emergency Management, AED cabinets have been installed at Mansfield Community Park, Georgetown Park (Mapleton), and Civic Club. The cabinet unlock codes have been registered with 911 for members of the public who may need to access the contents in an emergency situation. Upon calling 911 and identifying the cabinet location, the dispatcher will provide the code and further instructions.

Each cabinet contains an AED unit with adult and pediatric pads, Narcan for use in an expected overdose, and a Stop the Bleed kit. Stop the Bleed kits are intended for accidents with severe bleeding and blood loss. Learn more at https://www.stopthebleed.org.

Mansfield Township Ambulance Corps will offer free classes on proper use of this equipment in the near future. All residents are welcome and encouraged to participate.

Cabinets and contents were purchased with funding provided through the Emergency Management Agency Assistance (EMAA) Grant Program NJ.
